  • Definitely a big disappointment, but honestly, I'm not jumping off a cliff.

We'll still end up with a decent coach here at Maryland.

While it sounds like Miller did use us as leverage, I still have very little faith in Anderson and his ability to close a deal. I think the guy is in way over his head. I hope he proves me wrong by landing a top-flight coach, but we'll see.

Jeff is just playing the game, too. Without posting wildly speculative bs as fact, less people would pay to read his shoddy "journalism". Who the hell would pay for REAL (see also: always negative) news on this turd program?

It's not Jeff's fault. He's only reporting what he hears. But with that said... what's the point?

Why do you people deem anything I say as trolling?

I have a different and often right opinion about this program so you people hate me for it

  • Someone's got some 'spaining to do.

You know what? After the FB coach debacle, I shouldn't be surprised. Here we are making fun of NCSU, and we're their more gifted, yet equally accomplished twin brother.

Yeah, but people who pay hookers to repeatedly kick them in the nuts are getting what they want...

Premium subscribers get exactly what they want - rumors and hearsay on something that COULD happen. They don't get to know whats happening first, they get to know what has a chance of potentially sometimes happening in the future.

They read the speculation, get excited by the possibilities, then come crashing down to earth when the sources are proven wrong. As a former subscriber I can tell you Jeff does an awesome job compiling the info his sources give him. But this is still Maryland, where anything and everything that can fall apart will fall apart.

"sources" want to be "sources." Everyone wants their 15 minutes, even if their name doesn't show up. They'll tell their friends, "I'm that 'source.'" It only falls apart at Maryland because people buy (literally) into so much BS. I'm more baffled that reporters still go back to the same source for info. Like that whole 980 thing today... time to throw that phone number out for whoever got that one wrong.

Jeff's great, but I gotta agree. I had it for about a year, but never really felt like I got any true inside scoops. Just a whole bunch of rumors for stuff that eventually never happened. The discussions are definetly better in premium though so if you post here a lot, then it might still be worth it.

Agree. I got it about a year ago when they were running the year subscription with the free ESPN and Sporting News subscriptions. The best part about Premium was the discussion. I don't really care much about the recruiting...I'm one of those people that can't get too invested in HS juniors and seniors. The premium doesn't have any great scoops regarding news on the program and I was a bit turned off after the whole Leach thing. Once my subscription ended I didn't bother re-upping and after the whole Sean Miller debacle, I'm glad I didn't. Just my 2 cents....

Oh and F us if KA goes after Tubby. Tubby just seems like the kind of guy that KA will go after though....

  • I'm done with this. All sports. I'm cashing out now. I've had it watching Maryland tragedy unfold. TC Gold not renewed. MGN not renewed. FB season tix not renewed.

I've got a secret for you: Bandwagon fans are the happiest fans. They receive the maximum joy with the minimum committment. They don't ever have a bad day. Die hard fans have 95% grief, and that's a conservative number. Consider that and realize that the outcome of any given sporting event affects most of us objectively in absolutely in no way.

When I think about it, it's actually pretty stupid to let something that happens on a field with guys you never met playing a sport you never played affect you this much. That's why I'm done.

A kind moderator would ban me just in case I lapse and feel compelled to read or post again. Adios.
