I think the odds makers will definitely have the Heat as the favorites but I would take Dallas straight up. I just think the Mavericks have the depth to exploit the Heat which is something no other team they've faced has had.

I'd take that in a heartbeat. The Heat have a guy who at least on the surface right now can slow Dirk down. If you can disrupt what Dirk is doing without doubling then I really think the Mavs will grind to a halt. They are whipping the ball around so easily for threes when teams have doubled Dirk and when they havent he is getting whatever he wants. I think Lebron can affect that.

At least the 2nd best Eastern Conference champion since the Jordan Bulls. And if they keep playing D like they have been, I'm not sure the 08 Celtics could have beaten them.
I probably shouldn't have said "in history" because you've got those epic Lakers, Celtics, 76ers, and Bulls teams. But other than that...

I didn't watch Heat vs Mavs in the reg. season, but why are you guys confident that Lebron can guard Dirk? He gives up 4 inches and Dirk shoots from behind his head

I hate how everyone is jumping down Rose, KD and Westbrook's throats
this is the first time it's been so many stars coming up at the same time while there's twitter and forums...everyone's so quick to discredit these young players it's pretty damn annoying
if this forum and twitter was around in 1988, could you imagine how much hate and discrediting of his potential MJ would have been receiving for losing in the playoffs after winning 50 games, MVP, DPOY and scoring title

WAT? This team is so deficient. when the Heat have 3 legit all stars in their prime and 2 of them going into the hall of fame going against a 22 year old PG and a couple of Duke role players...the heat is stacked and the bulls never had a prayer
1 or 2 players can win you a basketball game...the Heat have 3 and pretty good role players that can play defense and hit a shot
that whole 'this ain't the heat's year' was bs from the start, it was just a way folks could cover their ass if the experiment blew up in their face
3 all stars make you the favorite no matter what in a series...even if 1 of them have a bad series like Wade is, there's two other all stars to pick up the slack...including the best player on the planet, Lebron James
