Harrisons and Britt combo maybe not so impossible

To all the Joe Blacks out there, looks like the Harrison/Britt rivalry isn't totally irreconcilable - they can play together, so this is not a strictly either/or argument as some out there want to make it out to be. And with recent attrition, we certainly have the schollies free to go for it.
We can still dream of days when our biggest problem is who of Stoglin, Britt and Andrew get to sit in '13.

don't be a crackhead. for stoglin to sit, you are basically saying both of these other players are kevin durant-caliber.

...or that Stoglin doesn't stay 4 years. I didn't think there was any chance JW would bolt early, and he only gave us 2 years. Nothing is set--the best any of us can do is speculate.

Exactly.
Besides, while successfully getting all three (Harrisons and Britt) on campus would make my head explode with its awesomeness, it's a total long shot, and as long as we're talking long shots you can't count on Stoglin to still be here in '13. Would love to have the Harrisons/Britt/Stogs problem though.
I think the bigger thing here is that no one needs to worry about us recruiting both.

Don't forget to include Faust in the H/B/S "problem."
More important, I don't think that most of us (and this is NOT a knock on me or anyone else) know how to properly view the recruiting of multiple major studs, in back-to-back classes, let alone in the same class. Since it hasn't happened here in forever.
Do you all think that UNC or Duke or Kentucky worry about "too many" HS AAs bunching up? Or Alabama or other top tier programs in football? Hell no is the obvious answer. We have to try to get who we can. Yeah, I'm dubious that we get the Harrisons and Britt, but at least it's a point of discussion now.

I got a vision of Stoglin leaving after his Jr year...I can see him scoring a lot and just saying 'f school' let me see where my scoring ability takes me

Forgetting about Franchise as well. I really don't think there is anyway this happens with Allen, Faust, Pe, and Stogs still around. I'm just hoping we get at least Britt, it's going to be tough to land guys for 2013 when we have 1 guy on board for 2012.

Bledsoe and Wall did it and they were both 1st rounders after their freshman years. Not usual but not unprecedented.

if stoglin isn't on the team, that would make it kind of easy to decide whether to not play him or someone else, no?

We had Vasquez and Hayes in the same class (even though they were not considered elite prospect in HS). In lefty"s days we had Dutch Morley (DeMatha) and Reggie Jackson who were elite recruits in their class. So it has happened before.
Like a previous poster stated, I would be happy with Britt and if the Harrisons come aboard that will be icing on the cake. (more than icing actually).

why would MARYLAND want to do that? there are other needs. you don't fill two schollies with superstar pg's. get one, then address the other needs. silliness

I respect your opinion but disagree. Hypothetically, say Britt decides to commit. Then, some time later, the Harrisons decide they also want to commit. You're going to tell them no????

but it won't happen. if britt commits the harrisons will go somewhere else. look, there is a ZERO percent chance of this happening. i'm sure jeff would agree. if it happens i will leave the board and you guys will be happy

Really? If there's one thing that we're not lacking on, it's schollys. Even if you have those three, you still have 6 or 7 other spots to fill in 12 and 13. No room for any more bigs, IMO.
