  • It's funny that he had to take up space in his blog to publically post a clarification about a fake twitter account that was created.

I wonder what ever happened to the guy who created that account.

OK. I mean what I am really getting at is did the post realized he sucked and ate voluminous satchels of foreskin so they encouraged him to move on, or was this actually a career upgrade. I'm glad it's at least not the latter.

I believe he was part of a general lay-off of reporters by the Washington Post.

The proof is not in the pudding, The proof of the pudding is in the tasting.

@TerpBE it was a pleasure covering Maryland. I loved the back-and-forth with the passionate fan base.

USA Today just announced 3 hires: Eric Prisbell from the Washington Post. Simon Samano from http://NFL.com. David Meeks from LA Times

Think he comes out with an article regarding AAU recruiting now??

Doubt he has a clue about it.

  • Met him years ago when I was covering Mizzou hoops and he'd just made a name by breaking a big scandal at Fresno State; I think 60 minutes followed him for a segment at some point then. Seemed like a decent enough guy and a fast-rising reporter who'd become a star at the Post.

That didn't happen, though, and in all honesty I think there was a lot of energy put into throwing dirt on Gary Williams and playing to Debbie Yow's agenda in the name of gaining access.

There were the repeated lengthy stories with little new information of substance and lots of negative spin, the promise to uncover dirt on the entire circuit and no delivery, the done deal report of Malzahn to Vandy, etc. And I tend to agree that all of your jeers may have affected his delivery.

But props to him for finding a comfortable landing spot in this nightmarish newspaper reporting market and hopefully he finds his next Fresno State story at USAT.

No he did deliver....the Joe Davis-Mike Parker story no. Or how about the story about internet sites and their shady involvement in the recruiting game where he conveniently left out the most obvious and likely most egregious example in the country right under his nose? I'm sure both of those had nothing at all to do with the agendas of the person he sold out to for access.

I was completely scandalized by the stunning revelation that Joe Davis drove Mike Parker to school sometimes. That scoop, which was available to anyone with twitter, facebook, or eyes, definitely shook college basketball to its core

  • If it's suddenly a crime to wish that someone were dead, federal prosecutors would already have Hogie in Florence, Colorado at Admax on 'Goon-related charges.

  • And why doesn't Dan Steinberg link to all the threads where Toogs is helpful, like banning UGW or insulting hgoodman's worth as a human being...? Liberal media bias, imo.

Someone tell that guy Prisbell is a dick, and an outright liar. It's perfectly fine to use hyperbole when addressing an asshole of that nature.

PS I don't really hope his plane crashed, mostly because of the other people on board.

  • Perhaps Dan is just trying to fill the hole in our lives created by the departure of Eric? Off to a good start with that really insightful Stoglin twitter post recently.

  • Steinberg is almost as big of a tool as Prisbell. In the three times I've been mention in one of his "bog" posts, I've been misrepresented. Similarly, he's never made any effort to contact me. His laziness is almost on par with Prisbell's.

He's not worth discussing any further and definitely not worth reading. Not even worth wishing bodily harm upon.

Steinberg has definitely jumped shark. He looks desperate to drum up interest with the Stoglin twitter post and now this one.
