I know that he visited Delaware, but I think UD just got a notre dame QB transfer. can someone confirm?

Crist decided on Kansas instead. But UD picked up a Bowling Green QB so they most likely don't have a spot for O'Brien.

No he didn't. He announced shortly after the season he's staying. End of story.

This. He's much more likely to end up with Franklin at Vanderbilt than at Penn State with Fridge.
Edit: If he even leaves at all. We're talking like it's a forgone conclusion...

DOB may not even graduate in the spring and I think it is a moot point when he is named the starter after spring ball. Only way he is out of here is if he is not going to start. Locks runs a pro style so that will make DOB happy. He also really likes the area and his time at Under Armour as an intern is probably not a negative to him staying in MD.
By the way most HS coaches around here do not like fridge all that much so don't expect much help recruiting this area. this area is LOcksed Down.

In a nutshell, DOB was leaving on the fastest thing to Vandy!! He had a sit down with Locksley and they talked it out. Nothing is eched in stone but talk has simmered on him leaving. Now troy Jones qb,a Franklin guy will transfer. Character assassination issues with Edsall was the straw that broke the camels back!Felt he wasnt going to get a fair shot .

Maybe he is taking a class abroad? Seriously, I was told he needed something like 21 or 22 credits to graduate, and it would be easy enough to get those before July 1 when scholarships renew if he chose to. I think he goes through the Spring and then does what he thinks is right for himself.

20+ credits is not easy unless he took winter classes. IIRC, 15 credits is average, 18 is for smart overachievers, anything more than that is tough, especially if you're playing a sport like FB.

Well that is my point. Let's assume he needs 22 credits. What if he is using the Winter Term to get 2-4 of those. (I think 1967Terp teaches a course that travels in the Winter Term and is good for a couple of credits.) Maybe he's taking one 2 or 3 credit course on line. If he took 15 during the term, he'd still have the first Summer Session to clean up the remaining credits avoiding having to take 18 in the Spring, and he'd be a graduate whether he chooses to stay or go. I doubt we know for sure until after Spring Ball either way.
