"I like fixing broken things" - Kevin Plank
#1 Maryland Women's Lacrosse takes down #2 North Carolina 14-13 in front of a record crowd of 2,347! Thanks to all that came out to support the team.
I've been really crappy keeping up with this thread lately, thanks to everybody else posting updates when I'm not around
Take on #18 Princeton tonight at 7 PM at the FH/Lacrosse Complex
"Maryland football: Where everybody gets hurt and the starting left tackle has an existential crisis."
Won 15-9 after being up 9-2 at half, four hat tricks from Aust, Schwarzmann, Glaros and Majorana
awesome. whos going to the final four?
NYCTerp is now OCTerp
up 13-6 with ~20 min left
Up 9-3 on Virginia Tech at half, trying to complete an undefeated regular season
I don't know much about women's lacrosse, but I have to wonder how this team stacks up against the all-time greats. We're presumably going undefeated in the regular season, with only one margin of victory less than 5.
I don't know if anyone handicaps women's lacrosse, but it seems like we have to be the overwhelming odds-on favorites to win it all.
eamhokie94: Is your name Nazi in pig Latin?
hmm guess my post got eaten up but we won today to cap off the undefeated season, 15-7
UA Lacrosse @UALacrosse 8m
Congrats to @MarylandWLax for finishing the regular season with a 17-0 record. Next up: ACC Quarterfinals. #IWILL
defeated #2 North Carolina 14-13, #5 Syracuse 19-11, #6 Penn State 20-10, #9 Duke 15-6, #10 Stony Brook 8-3, #16 Virginia 18-10, #17 Princeton 15-9, #18 Boston College 13-5. Not bad.
I'll be there.
Well, from 1995-2001 MD Women's Lax went 140-5. I'm not a historian either, but I'm guessing those Jen Adams' squads would hold up well.
I was going to ask if we could get past Northwestern this year but I just checked their schedule and they got drilled 22-4 at Florida today. I guess Florida is legit.
Compared to the level of competition those late 90s teams will never be matched, but both Alex Aust and Katie Schwarzmann are miles better than everyone on those teams outside of Adams. Adams revolutionized the game but the rest of that team couldn't hold up.
They've only had a program for three or four years too.
i guess you can build a program quickly when your women's lax team flies charter

UVA got a late goal in the first half to make it 7-6 at halftime
I turned it on only to see a horrible turnover - UVA goal - turnover sequence. Back off.
I had no idea Boston College had a women's lacrosse team till I looked up who we might play Sunday.
Play UNC in the ACC tournament championship game on Sunday at 5 PM. Game is in Chapel Hill of course.

HOF these girls!
Wow. This is NOT roomy!
Lets go get a Natty too!
5th ACC championship in a row. Once Maryland leaves the conference, UNC might get a shot at one.
All the rest of the ACC teams can say is thank god UMD is going to the B1G so someone other than them can win the championship. Terp women are THE top women's LAX program in the ACC and nationally and have dominated over many years. Only a spurt by our new conference mates, Northwestern, coached by former Terp AA Kelly Amonte, has kept us from a complete domination over the past 25 years. We should ALL be proud as Terps.
