I always root for the ACC teams outside of Duke and Carolina becuase it pays Maryland. This is a good year as we've got 2 real teams to follow in Miami and UVA so that's where I'll be rooting.
I am conflicted for reasons noted above.
I've always been a "what's best for my team is that the conference does well" person, but I can't for the life of me figure out how to calculate that this year. Short-term, I suppose, ACC success helps us. Long-term, Big 10. But that's too confusing and annoying to translate into actual, visceral game-watching responses.
I've come to look forward to this thread every year. NOT
My answer is Kansas. I attended grad school with Kevin Young when he was at LMU. I even made a highlight video of him because the team was terrible and only won 2 games all year. Now he's a starter on a national championship type team.
small is not good. no way....
MSU as usual
Take a day off to breath and see if oxygen rushing to your brain helps
New Mexico. Fun team to watch.
Not sure I understand the confusion. If an ACC team makes the Final Four Maryland gets paid now, right? So why is there even a choice? Even in our last year in the league the same holds true next year I believe.
I'm not going to "adopt" a team per se, but these are the only teams with a reasonable shot of winning it all that I would be able to tolerate:
kansas is the correct answer. LOL at "being okay" with any of the others winning.
although i like siva.
Fuck everyone! Go Terps!
Wow. This is NOT roomy!
JMU, I reckon. At least until the first weekend.
I will do what I usually do when MD doesn't make it. I ignore it completely. Pretend it isn't even happening.
I have been a Florida Gulf Coast fan for a long time. At least since Friday.
Yeah I'm officially on the bandwagon. This team is fun as hell to watch. Reminds me of Maryland in the 90s with the fast tempo and athletic play.
Michigan - whole family went there - and Temple before they got knocked out. My dad went there for undergrad and Mark Macon was the first college player I ever knew about. I do believe Michigans got a great chance to make the FF ... And FGCU, obv.
