The spring game is on a Friday night this year - huh??
Scrimmages planned for Frederick County and Baltimore. Nice idea, I guess.
scrimmages are a great idea, its about time they did something like that
No problem with the Spring Game, might actually be better for attendance than Saturday afternoon
"I like fixing broken things" - Kevin Plank
For all the flack he got when he first got here (rightfully deserved, I might add), Rangoon has been doing all the right things as of late.
I definitely like the idea of a Friday night spring game. Will probably draw a ton more students, too. Hopefully they can get CSN to televise it.
Just win, baby!
Thats what I would hope. A ridiculous amount of people have other obligations on Maryland Day. I think if they market it well to the students they should get a good turnout. I don't think you are going to lose anyone who would be coming otherwise by having it on a Friday night (maybe people who travel really far?) and I would think there are plenty of families and people who wouldn't be able to come on Saturday afternoon that would be able to make it on a Friday night.
Is it night before Maryland day ?
The PR firm the university paid for to improve Randy's horrible image is really paying off.
The scrimmages in Frederick County and Baltimore are a great idea. It's a real opportunity to reach out. How about some things for kids to do? Meet and greets for players and coaches? Appearances by Torrey Smith and other Terp football alumni at both scrimmages? Opportunity to purchase UA gear at a discount price? how about a carnival or festival like ideas to celebrate Maryland Terrapin football. Get a really good sponsor who can help pay for it.
Get local radio to simulcast, ticket office should be there, selling game and season tickets (discount them for that day only and/or giveaways). Youth teams and coaches should be invited for clinics. There are hundreds of thigns that can be done.
Really, that's all you got? Is this supposed to bring outrage from posters? Nice try.
