A TORNADO WATCH IS IN EFFECT FOR THE WARNED AREA.
THIS IS A DANGEROUS LINE OF STORMS. IF YOU ARE IN ITS PATH...MOVE INDOORS TO A STURDY BUILDING AND STAY AWAY FROM WINDOWS. WHEN IT IS SAFE TO DO SO...REPORT SEVERE WEATHER TO LOCAL LAW ENFORCEMENT OR TO THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE.
I was on campus when a twister hit 10 years ago. A couple girls died.
What's the insurance on Byrd? Would we get like a $200 million check if a tornado just wrecked it?
That tornado blew up my apartment in Courtyards (lived in a corner apt in building 4) and generally effed up my afternoon.
Afternoon? I lived in building 6, and it effed up my week. Effed up as in homeless for a week effed up.
eamhokie94: Is your name Nazi in pig Latin?
I lived in Elkton Hall when the tornado hit, I believe the girls car flew right past the building.
there's actually a tornado watch for the entire metro area. so far they have not put up a tornado warning, which is worse.
I lived in Calvert that semester too.
Sad sad day.
In case people were wondering....i dont want a whole football stadium of people to get swept up in a tornado. I want a new football stadium that doesnt look retarded.
Honestly though, if like one person is in it, we probably get a lot more sympathy money.
i was on south campus and slept right through it somehow. i didn't even know what happened until the next day.
You were asleep at like 5PM?
Did you go to college?
yep, took a nap right after class. i remember hearing sirens everywhere but didn't think much of it until i found out what happened the next morning.
I thought you wanted PG county wiped out at first. Then I saw your pic.
