One more shot at Kentucky in NYC this year would be pretty sweet.
eamhokie94: Is your name Nazi in pig Latin?
Anybody want to give me a ride to the Wilmington train station after the game? I'm in DC for the day and if I don't have to take the train back, I could make it to the game.
Rupp's in use for the real tournament.
To get to host Kentucky? This has to be a dream come true for Bob Morris U. Too bad their gym is about same size as a high school's.
From the AP story:
"The game drew a crowd of 4,053, a season-low at Maryland."
There is no reason whatsoever that tickets for this game were priced above $15.
I believe that's also good for the lowest in Comcast Center history, unseating the Manhattan game.
* But still almost 1,000 more people than the Charles L. Sewall Center holds.

We get Denver.
It's the NIT on 2 days notice, it's not really surprising.
I do agree though, I was stunned when I saw tickets were $25. I was thinking $10.
Go away, KA!
I believe tickets for UVA's NIT game were $10. That is more of a fair price - especially considering how short notice the game is.
Tallest player in their regular rotation is 6-7. We should absolutely slaughter them on the boards. Their heaviest player is listed at 220. Shaq and Chuck will eat them alive.
[think West Side Story]
We just beat a team called Niagara -
And suddenly that squad
Won't seem so very odd
I wish we'd quit playing Niagara!"
That's what makes it more awesome. Wouldn't have been the same atmosphere in a big gym.
Awesome, Bill. You were right there to get that sequence on Dez's "and one" acrobatic shot.
I watched the 1972 NIT on TV (and I'm pretty sure I was at Cole for one of the games) but I don't remember Nixon going to the championship game.
Oops, did I misread that? I thought of that, read it again, and still misread it I guess... I'm a dope.
LOL @ Tennessee.
Yeah, but you're our dope.
From a NIT thread on an Alabama board.
"Thanks, those would be some marquee names coming to Coleman." (He'd asked who Bama might be playing.)
"Northeastern , Stanford ,and Maryland are not chopped liver . Just ask the 60 teams that they beat this year !!"
Either this website doesn't exist or is not currently available.
It doesn't get much better than being described as "not chopped liver".
"Maryland: From good to not chopped liver."
with passover almost here, i love me some chopped liver. Chopped liver on matzo is a staple.
If you want to try a great way to eat the stuff.......order a combo sandwich at your local deli with turkey and chopped liver on rye! Yes you prob need to live in the northeast, south florida, or west coast to get to a decent jewish deli...but when you do try this.
I should post that on the Bama board and see what kind of fun remarks I get? Show them my horns!
St. John's bandwagon LEGGO!
Was that Auslander standing up and cheering the whole time? Sad, I can't tell you what any of our bench guys look like.
At least once every 6 months or so I gotta get a reuben from Parkway and murder ten pickles while I'm at it. Chopped liver and turkey on rye sounds intriguing but does it beat a reuben??
He and Susskind are passionate about this team. Susskind was holding back tears at the end of the UVa game. Hope they get a chance to play some in MSG. Preferably at the end of a blowout of the WaHoles.
