Andy Katz on tv just said he has MD in the field after the win against Duke - with the Duke and NC State wins. As long as they do not lose any games they shouldn't such as the Boston College game.
I think we need to beat UNC to be in good shape.
I am very worried about the BC game.
Lose to UVA and UNC, finish at 10 - 8 and be as bubble as ever...
Unfortunately, that's as good as I see it, 9-9 more likely, unless the play (minus the TOs) from the Duke game stick.
We can win the national title with the play from the Duke game minus the TOs.
Lunardi, during halftime of the Miami/Clemson game, said he has Virginia as one of his last 4 in and the Terps as one of the last 4 out.
You may be correct. The more that I think about it, the more I realize how strong the rest of the effort was in light of how many TOs. I'm curious if any team at MD's level of play up to this point has ever beaten a top 10 team with that many TOs.
We most certainly control our own destiny and have all very winnable games left. Unfortunately, as we've seen all year all over the country, winning on the road is really hard to do. Even harder for a young team like MD.
We're 6-6 and don't do well on the road. We need to 4-2 with 4 road games, just to get to 10-8. 11-7 is doable, but the odds are against it.
I would say we have beat either UNC OR UVA, and of course BC, to be feeling good. A loss to UVa @ Charlottesville will not be considered a bad loss. In fact we dont' have any bad losses, though I would certainly like to have one of those FSU games.
