Maybe a new beginning, but this is certainly related to the events that unfolded 36+ years ago. All those that lived pre and post this time certainly know.
it was 26 years ago wasn't it?
Thanks for catching the typo -yes.
What in the good god damn are you talking about?
im sorry i was confusing...your "Superbowl" was the Redskins losing since you know that the Ravens cant win it all.
well, this and that goddamned butterfly flapping its wings in Mongolia
Sorry about that 26 years ago, but it was the beginning of the end - a change in "sports" culture as Ross was not happy and that did not help the situation. AD went different directions (much more academics and not saying Geiger was bad) but did lead to unsuccessful hires, subsequent poor AD choices, mismanagement (ill timing of not needed Tyser tower -could not fill boxes). Very much a different atmosphere afterwards. The result was a series of unsuccessful hires leading to problems that Bias' death was a catalyst.
Attitude Reflects Leadership
so what is the "this" that is related to Len Bias dying, in your first post?
Maybe he's a time traveler and he's saying in 10 years Len Bias's nephew/cousin signs with us?
Yes, the move would have not happened. The sports program would have been very different than today. Of course Driesell would have still been there - maybe Ross. Slaughter and Dull would have still been there, the atmosphere would have been very different and the turn of events would have been much different.
That's either Chinese or retarded. I will report back.
WTF are you talking about?

Just saying that without that incident the sports program looks much different from there on out. May have never had the drought of fball over those years and thus a very different, profitable program with different AD's and there attitudes, thus leading to B10 move that while profitable(good for univ.), more so out of necessity.
i almost didn't even open this thread up because it just seemed like a train wreck waiting to happen. of course i did and now its the classic " i'm dumber for having read this" saying.
I need BobWadeEraSurvivor's take on this before I form my opinion.
This is comedy of the highest order. Well done sir! I can't stop laughing.
