It's no use, Seth. This will only make me like your daughters more.
After Stoglin scored 28 points in Saturday's win over Virginia Tech, Hokies coach Seth Greenberg said Stoglin — who shot 9-for-21 — "plays for both teams."
Greenberg seemed to want to clarify his remark a few days later.
"That was a compliment," Greenberg told reporters. "People have taken it as a shot. I meant that he's fearless. The guy made two ridiculously tough shots with people all over him. He does that every game. He has the ability to make tough shots."
What a dick.
Sounds like backtracking. I don't see how he goes from "playing for both teams'' to ''fearless, etc."
At least he seems to realize his original comments were inapproriate
Especially with his other comment which said that the big shots Stoglin hit were a failure on the part of the defense, not anything that Stoglin did. He just sounds like a spoiled child being the poor loser.
People took it as a shot because it was.
This isn't a case where people are misinterpreting anything, it's not the media twisting facts, it's what you said, clown.
Edit: when I said "you" I was referring to Greenberg, not Montana Terp.

Stick your bullshit pseudo-apology up your ass, then eat shit and die.
I kinda like Greenberg...shrug.
I'm totally shocked that you feel that way. /sarcasmfont
Shocking that you like an assclown troll...just kidding :) Seriously though, how could "playing for both teams" be meant as "fearless"? You never hear coaches cry like that after games. Greenberg is such a whiny bitch. I look forward to Turgeon's baller ass teams beating the hell out of VT in the coming years.
I got the shotgun. You got the briefcase. It's all in the game though, right?
I think people are missing the point of this thread:
i, for one, am shocked.... SHOCKED!

Maybe she was going to get a replacement cable box or sign up for HBO...
What is great is that Greenberg completely painted a target on VaTech for the next two years. You know that Stogs is going to come out and shit on Greenberg's teams even more after those comments.
Why would anyone anyone want to play for that classless POS?
Good lord what a douche...
You might not stand Greenburg but he is spot on about Stoglin. Stoglin's shooting percentage is less than the team average.
LOL at some of you guys...
People on here liked Greenberg at first.
Most guards are going to have shooting %'s less than than the rest of the team because they are taking a lot of 3pters whereas the rest of the team is going to include big men who only shoot in the paint and are going to be shooting 50%. Stoglin has attempted almost half of the team's 3pters.
Stoglin is shooting 38.4% from 3pt.
ROT is shooting 28.2% from 3pt.
Stoglin is shooting 45.3% from 2pt.
ROT is shooting 48.2% from 2pt.
I don't feel like going through and doing "adjusted FG%" to account for all the 3pt attempts he's taking, but the notion that he is hurting the team because of his FG% is absurd.
Oh, he's also 8th in the conference in FG%.
