Great. As if Maryland isn't getting enough bad pub recently, now Yahoo has this on it's front page.
Read 'Top Maryland football recruit offers up incredibly offensive Jeremy Lin tweet' from our blog Prep Rally on Yahoo! Sports. One would think that Stefon Diggs would be well versed in the threat posed by unchecked social media postings. However, as this rather offensive Tweet about Jeremy Lin dug up by Larry Brown Sports proves, one would be wrong to give Diggs the benefit of that doubt. Continue reading →
Damn Yahoo overreact more
I don't get it, what is so offensive about Diggs wanting people to stop eating Lin's food?
What kind of asshole stands on another mans egg rolls or dumplings??
Being a huge fan of Schadenfreude aimed at Maryland, I, for one, am having a great time with the media jumping all over Maryland for the dumbest things.
classlessthug: I have too much on my plate to worry about the fact that my junk intimidates some needle D undergrad.
Must be a slow news day. How you equate referring to someone as a "c...." versus a food found in every Chinese restaurant in America is beyond absurd. This guy HAS to be a Penn State, Notre Dame, Duke graduate.
Question about twitter if you have a private twitter account is it legal for someone else to publish your tweets?
Pic Sigs are for losers.
can someone who's already clicked that link post it here? i don't want to give whatever douchebag wrote that article anymore site hits.
That guy Dan Steinberg started this. I don't know who he is, but that blog post he made was dumb. Stick to making fun of the redskins dude.
Only the most miserable of human beings care what an 18 year old randomly posts on twitter.
Just blame Edsall. Afterall he's the one that has placed the black cloud over Maryland Football.
how is this "more offensive"
I WISH my jaunt were fat like an egg roll
you guys missed the point- we made yahoo news plus top ten rivals.com recruit. Free press!

Wow some of the comments below that article are gold.
this is so ridiculous. I love how white people are always the first to tell other people what is racist.
One of my favorites:
"If a white person made comments like this, Sharpton and Jesse Jackson would be in their town rallying all the minorities to protest in front of the TV cameras."
Always a go-to comment for racist white people. And we all know the great reverends never pass up an opportunity to rally for the rights of Chinese people.
The word "racist" might be the most overused word in the world.
Not goog news.
I can't stand this yellow journalism. They always try to put their own slant on the issue.
<3 never change
LOL, the press is just going full tilt now on stupid stuff like this. I say we embrace our bad selves, and go thug for real. Gang colors, ho-ish cheerleaders, Turgeon mugging old ladies, and especially cash-filled envelopes for recruits.
I think it is legal because Yahoo(or Larry Brown Sports who Yahoo credits for discovering this Stefon Diggs tweet) did this exact same thing to a highly touted senior football prospect named Yuri Wright, they discovered his protected tweets about his "love of BITCHES and PU$$Y" and put it in an article. I believe several BCS schools stopped recruiting Y.Wright after the story came out, he eventually signed with Colorado. I guess this needs to be a warning to athletes that there is a website whose objective appears to find offensive tweets(public and private) and make them known to the masses!!
"That's arguably an even more offensive version of the offensive genitalia joke first used by Fox Sports columnist Jason Whitlock (also on Twitter)."
No, it's not. Not even close. What Whitlock said is a slam on Asians having small dongs. What Stephon Diggs said, while in poor taste, isn't a slam on Asians. Also, Whitlock is a grown-ass man. Diggs is still a kid.
I said this on the other board, but we all said some stuff like this at 18. Doesn't make it right, but let's consider the source.
