This guy is exactly what this university needed to replace Gary, someone with some passion and fire like Gary we didn't need some pansy ass who sits in his seat on the sideline and appears to not care about the outcome.
I want a coach that lives and dies on every play just like I do and I believe most of the TRUE fans on here do.
I want to have a Bromance with Turgeon...
In Turgeon We Trust!!!!!
Yeah.. I love his squatting dual fist pumps.. Reminds me of Ed Harris in the abyss trying to revive his wife.. "FFFFFFFIIIIIIIGGGGHHTTTT"
It was hilarious when padge got the rebound and went to put it back up I was distracted by the camera angle and focused solely on Turgeon, and then my wife asked my why I laughed out loud when he ran into the kid on the end of the bench and was like "deal with it"
Imagine how good we might be if he hadn't run off Stoglin!
I love me some Turge
Stoglin ain't going no-where
i actually hate his squatting dual fist pumps. reminds me of roy
im sorry i was confusing...your "Superbowl" was the Redskins losing since you know that the Ravens cant win it all.
Agreed. I'm all in with Turge.
Have been since the day he was hired. He hasn't disappointed. Gary was right when he told Turge that he would be the perfect man for the job.
“I want to know God's thoughts - the rest are mere details.”

Joke. Was referring to criticism of his public statements about TS.
I'm glad you bring that up.
I'm sure the likes of Hogie can't wait until Turge hits a rough patch to criticize Gary for sticking us with an awful coach and saying 'I told you so'.
Regardless of whether you like/dislike the job Turge does, one thing you can't get on him about is his honesty. Turge's personality is exactly what this program needed after a Gary's long stint here.
I'm still in a wait-and-see mode regarding his recruiting.
Unfortunately Turge doesn't have that luxury.
As long as he does not pull a Rangoon or some other cock-up, he's got 3 and a half more years, minimum.
Sorry there is just a group on here, as I'm sure you're aware, that think Turgeon is going to run him off.
Yeah, the point of my post was to make fun of them. Sarcasm often doesn't translate on these boards.
You know he's a good coach by the way we played in the second half of the VA and Tech games, you know, like keeping the team fired up and the smart calls he makes...like making sure our best player gets the ball to our worst players so they can get stuffed, or create a TO, or throw up some junk that looks like it was shot out of a greased cannon.
I expect more inspired coaching tomorrow. I'm sure we will get the ball into our bigs and go right over the top of Henson and Zeller.
You're right Stoglin and Faust shouldn't practice getting the ball closer to the basket so when we actually have players who can finish inside next year they can have no clue how to get it to them!! Instead let's let Stoglin dribble around and toss up a contested 20 footer or drive into a double team. Look we're all frustrated with losing but don't put this on Turgeon's coaching. We all knew this year would be like this and most thought it would be worse. He has to have his players run his system so they know wtf they're doing next year when the talent starts to fit what he wants to do. Anyone with any knowledge of basketball knows that you have to get the ball inside to be a truly competitive team...
I love how people come onto this board and act like Turgeon has 10 HOF options on the team...and somehow he just can't figure out how to use them. Like we have Dream Team talent. He is getting what he can out of this team. As we were playing our way through December I thought if he got more than 4 or 5 ACC wins out of this team he would have done a good job. He has done that. While I can't stand losing to GT, when I look at the overall work that he has done, I am pleased.
In two years, when he will have likely put together a strong ACC roster, you want to criticize him then, well maybe. Now? No way.
There is no excuse for losing to that turd GT team. None. Our players are much better than theirs. Turgeon can definitely take criticism for that one.
It's a young team and it was the first game the Terps lost to an inferior team! I don't like it but it's something I expected from time to time.
