I'm kind of mentally thinking that each of these guys is going to have at least some degree of regular playing time. But that's ten, and as a practical matter that doesn't usually happen. Not that it couldn't. IIRC, Turgeon has talked about possibly using a bigger rotation, obviously depending on available personnel. But ten is still a lot.
not going to go that deep with guards. if howard is healthy, i think the worse of cassell/aronhalt gets squeezed out of the rotation.
I think this is very logically. Especially to begin the season. By ACC time Turgeon would have figured out who can play and who can't.
Remember our first Final 4 team had a 10 man rotation.
This line brings up a point that has always bugged me. Gary was always praised for his natty, obviously. But was goes largely unnoticed, and is probably even more impressive is the fact that his teams went to back to back Final Fours.
Depending on how good Pe/Layman/Allen are I could see one of the Aronhalt/Cassell dropping out of the rotation. But I think we could easily see 10 guys most nights unless Allen or Pe are commanding close to 30 a night.
Faust will play low 30's, Len barring foul trouble will play high 20's maybe a little more. The rest is completely up for grabs. I think well see something like 22 for Pe, 33 for Faust, 24 Layman, 29 Len, 23 Padge. 18 Allen, 10 Aronhalt, 8 Cassell, 24 Shaq, 9 Mitchell.

I see a 10 man to start and as the season wears on a solid 8 who earned the PT and barring foul trouble the other 2 getting some minutes (2-6).
Yeah I think everyone is on the same page here. 10 man rotation to open the season that will most likely to get whittled down to 8 or maybe 9 as the season wears on.
Also, conditioning will be a factor early in the season. Folks like Shaq and Mitchell will need regular spells.
Unless Aronhalt is significantly better than Cassell, I'd rather get Cassell the experience as Aronhalt is gone after this year. Of course if Aronhalt is that much better, you play him.
i get the point, but i think turge is going to play the better player, period. he wants to win and win now.
