Any word if he'll transfer back?
In all seriousness, I feel bad for the kid. He got Crowton'd
I don't know about anyone else but this completely changes all of my feelings about the Edsall hire. Boy, was I wrong!
He dug his own grave. He's a big part of the reason we went 2-10 last year. He was downright fucking terrible. He took the easy way out like a punk when he didn't like the coach and went to a school where he had no competition because he was unlikely to start here (with a healthy CJ Brown).
And he still found a way to get benched.
I don't feel bad for people whose hubris impedes their actual self worth.

Clearly Edsall has done stupid things but based on the postings here you would have thought DOB was going to win at least two Heisman's before Edsall "ran him off."
Yeah, there were times his Freshmen year where he was very good and other times where he was bad, but he had to take a big leap forward (an unrealistic one really) to meet some people's expectations.
It aint over till its over. Danny is a very good QB. IMO he is and will be a "next level" QB
Time will tell and it is a very long season. Wouldnt it be funny if Maryland played Wisconsin next year in a bowl game?
Wisconsin has a coaching problem more than anything else. They were not prepared to have an O line playing so poorly, and certainly not to have to fire their OL coach after 2 games. Whether the new O line can gel (now coached by the grad asst.) and whether the HC and OC can adapt the offense to the unexpected lack of a run game, will determine Wisconsin's season. Thus far, the entire team has looked horrible.
You don't know anything about football, shut up
Wow. Major league stupid.
Yup. Crespi couldn't possibly know anything about college quarterbacks either.
How do you guys think Hills compares with DOB right now? And who do you think has the brighter future?
Not sure I can answer that yet, but if they give Hills some time to throw he may win me over this year. Wasn't too enthused up this point, but he looked much, much better today!
With time to throw he seems good with the medium and short yardage throws. On the longer stuff they all seem to be off target and/or overthrown. But he seems to get exponentially better every week which is a great sign.
Hills is a true freshman and DOB redshirted, so not really comparable. Perry is much more physically tough than Danny; that's pretty much why he redshirted. I bet Danny would already be knocked out if he took Perry's hits as a true freshman.
Bottom line: Danny was more analytical than any other QB in the country. Very smart kid. Hills is a tough SOB.
Hills was in HS only four months ago. He looks pretty damn good, considering.
Agreed! A better scenario would have involved him watching a more experienced player run the show this year, but that ship sailed and he'll learn on the job instead. That isn't his fault and not a knock on him.
That said, his progress jumped up a few notches today, IMO. I am pleasantly optimistic now...night and day compared to last week.
DOB's got a shot at winning his job back.
Wisconsin starting quarterback Joel Stave likely will miss the rest of the season after suffering a broken left clavicle in Saturday's loss to Michigan State.
eamhokie94: Is your name Nazi in pig Latin?
If he had stayed in College Park he also had a shot at winning his job back.
Come on out and get your whoopin!
If he had stayed in CP he clearly would've torn his ACL by now.
