I know Miller is more polished, but Stevens is probably too good to pass up in this case. Plus, hes already built up his disdain for Duke.

I give Miller the slight edge. He is a proven recruiter at the top level and I think that's more important in this job. MD is not a job like Duke or UNC where recruiting is not an issue. Stevens is a little bit of a wild card in that regard, although it certainly would be a good problem to have.

This is the right answer. Stevens is the higher risk/higher reward guy because of the possibility he'd leave for Indiana. If Miller comes you have to think he's here for as long as he earns.

I think the recruiting concerns with regard to Stevens are being overstated. My gut says recruiting with him won't be an issue.

Depends on the interview, really. You have to ask them about their long term plan and what theyre going to do to win big recruits both nationally and locally, what their philosphies are on certain things, etc.

I have such a man crush on Stevens but I think I would choose Miller. You KNOW he is going to crush the recruiting trail.

I'd take Miller. I've wanted MIller for about 4 years now and was crushed when he got the Arizona job because I thought we could never get him now.

Miller is a great gameday coach-- and most importantly is a great NCAA tourney coach-- see his multiple runs at Xavier and his great run this year.

Also a very solid recruiter and has big conference experience-- and has ACC experience.

I'd be afraid that either one would use our job as a stepping stone to the NCSU job.
