B1G Basketball

I keep seeing how everyone thinks you all are going to drop in basketball. Is this because you think its going to be tougher road in the B1G?

In fairness, the money is generated on the football field in the B1G (obviously now you all get to share in it) We do take basketball very seriously... go look at the MSU/tOSU/Indiana boards and you will see that its extremely important.

I don't see the drop in basketball.. In fact, Maryland had already dropped anyway and is now on the road to recovery through Turgeon. Sure the ACC was a sell, but so was Maryland itself. That won't change, neither will the coach.. I think it'll be great, though I'll absolutely miss playing teams I've been comfortable with for so long

I don't doubt that, the Big 10 is a very good basketball conference. Better than the ACC at the moment. But in the ACC (At least for the more traditional schools) Basketball is number one.
Also for the record I'm 100% for this move.
I look forward to watching us play big 10 teams in all sports, especially basketball.

other than playing at penn state, nebraska and iowa... you are going to find the rest of them have good B1G fans playing on the road is as hard as it is in the ACC... the good thing is you do come into the tourny battle tested.....

Nebraska will have one of the top arenas in the country next year and it will be packed. We are lacking the talent right now, but the wheels have been put in place for success. This move helps us in bball recruiting immensely.

I can't wait until we are building a sweet practice facility like Nebraska. Anyone who was against this move just needs to look at the fact that Nebraska basketball was building SICK practice facilities that we don't have the funds to build. Well now we do!
