Austin Rivers hate?

On a scale of 1-10 where does your hate for Austin Rivers lie? I am watching the Dook Miami game and he is by far the biggest douche on the floor and he is most games. He is just overly cocky for a shooting guard who can't shoot.

. . . only 3 reasons for me to watch U Duke.
1. They are playing UMd.
2. They are in the NCAA Championship game, so I have to watch it.
3. They are switched to during the NCAA's because they are about to be upset.
That's it, that's the list (so I have no idea about them other than those circumstances and thus no reason to pass any judgement on them individually).

Let's build his hatred profile.....on a scale of 1-10:
He gets 4 points automoatically because he is a Dookie
He gets 3 poins for the way he acts on the court every game
He gets a point for all the hype we had to endure for more than a year before he ever played a game
He gets a point becuase he isn't close to as good so far as he was supposed to be (Kyrie Irving type bad-ass he's not)
That's at least a 9 on the hatred meter.

I love the fact that he's nowhere near the level of Kyrie Irving as he was hyped up to be, yet seems to have this sort of arrogance on the court that seems to indicate in his own mind, that he is. So it's not so much hate, but more a hope that he continues to be mediocre (when compared to expectations/hype).

He reminds me of Gerald Henderson...a mediocre player that imitated Kobe against lesser competition and really isn't that good

It's pretty clear he's all about himself, and I doubt K will be shedding tears when goes pro. In the first half against us, he was more interested in showing our guys up than winning the game, and his team was suffering because of it.

While Ryan Kelly's face is the most punchable of any Duke player, Austin Rivers is OVERALL the most punchable. He could probably nudge pretty close to Paulus territory with another year, but he's not there yet.

We're probably getting closer to "deserves it's own thread" category, but I didn't really hate Paulus that much - because he was really awful. He went from a five star recruit (best incoming freshman pg IIRC) and starting his freshman year to coming off the bench his senior year. On the checklist of hatable characteristics, Paulus had the following:
- Ugly
- floor slappy
- charge taker
- awful haircut
- t shirt under the jersey
But he wasn't good. That's what separates the Redicks and Laettners from the McRoberts/ Pauluses/ Rivers, etc.

Good criteria. You have to remember though that Rivers, made his own nickname, has that entitled asshole look on his face, any shot he makes he comes down the floor staring at the player that contested it, and he is just an overall douche.

There's also something about being part of the Dukie "pedigreed" collection -- Dunleavy, Melchionni, Capel, Hill. Guys who get some juice off their parentage, whatever their own talents.

This is a weird Duke team where the frontcourt (Kelly, Plumlees) are better than any of the guards.

The flops were huge, and his overall douchiness is being majorly slept on here.
Greivis violated him repeatedly, though. GV's freshman year, at Comcast, Paulus must have grabbed his jersey about 30 times to try and stop him.

What was Redicks biggest dick move? I seem to remember when he would make a shot he would hold his stroke all the way down the court.
