i dont know why people wouldnt want grant. he will probably take bama to the sweet 16 next year. then he will be the "hot" coach. then the terps won't be able to get him.

Yes please. He can coach and recruit. He would recruit the hell out of the DMV! His style of play would help us keep our recruits.
Get a young coach and build a strong program that will last.

We need to quickly pivk up the pieces, recover and just move on with Grant. I don't want this sting to linger and Grant would be an excellent backup plan to the MillerDixonWrightStevens. I hope we are in contact.

After largely ignoring the three-point shot for the past two decades (while conversely getting murdered by it), I wouldn't mind a bit of Shaka's run and gun style, right about now.

Is it common knowledge that Grant is 45? WTF? I seriously thought he was like in his late 30s at most. Have to make a run at him now. The old guys - save maybe Barnes - are placeholders. We need an energetic recruiter. If that means we flame out in the Sweet 16 a few times because he gets out-coached so be it. We need players. Simple as that. Fire up Under Armour I and get down to Tuscaloosa.

Let's not get too down. I'm not convinced there was anything we could have done to avoid the Miller trap. We are still a top 25 program with rich backers and great facilities. If we make an uninspired hire out of panic then I'll go back to thinking our administrators are idiots but I'm still thinking we can come out of this okay.

Grany is the only option left that gives me any real hope. We're not gettin Dixon/Wright/Stevens so lay off of the Kool-Aid if you're banking on that.
