I know NC State has some good players coming into what was already a tourney team this year, but are they really #6 good? Seams a little high to me.

College basketball is going to lose a lot of good players this offseason, moreso than most years. NC State won't be losing much (assuming Leslie stays) and they're getting a great recruiting class. I feel like they played more to their capabilities in the tournament and underachieved during the year. If they play the way they should over the course of next season, I'm pretty positive that they're a top-10 team (which is a very painful admission for me). At the very least, they should be the clear favorite in the ACC.

MD should be #1 in the country.

Maybe next year when the Harrison twins arrive.

Excited for Maryland basketball the next couple of years ahead. I hope we can return to the National Title very soon. I miss seeing March Madness after the first weekend

I really wonder if everyone would still have NCST top 10 had they lost to Georgetown in the 2nd round. They were clearly playing really well towards the end of the year and have plenty of talent but they beat 3 tourney teams prior to the tournament. They beat St. Bonaventure on a buzzer beater, solid win over Texas who was bounced in the first round, and a 3 point win over UVA who was gone on day 1 as well.

The point of the thread was to show us that Gottfried has NC State in great position in his 2nd year despite all of the LOLing. Also, Mike Brey, the guy JoeBlack wanted at Maryland for some reason (hint: he's not actually a Maryland fan), has Notre Dame in the mix.

It's subtle trolling, but obvious nonetheless.

Leaving aside Joe Black's dubious motives, I'm all in for building up this NC State team as much as possible, with or without CJ Leslie. If he does come back I can't see any way a team this loaded doesn't wind up at the Final Four. If you think about it they'll be similar to this year's Kentucky. Leslie = Jones, Brown = Lamb, Wood = Miller, and the recruits are right on par with Davis, Teague, and Kidd-Gilchrist. They actually have an edge on paper because Richard Howell is much better than Eloy Vargas.

Someone need to change the title to NC State thread.
