
Mark Turgeon and Roy Williams will coach against each other for the first time Saturday when North Carolina comes to College Park for a 4 p.m. tip against the Terps.
Mark Turgeon has never coached against his mentor Roy Williams, who he worked under as an assistant at Kansas from 1988-92. That will change Saturday against North Carolina.

Well, they may be friends, but both before and after the game, Turge and Roy exchanged only brief hand shakes and comments (a little more after the game). Maybe they connected earlier and chatted, but you never would have detected any "love" in what happened tonight. No hate either, but just sort of a routine "good game". Gary and K used to spend much more time talking and while they respected each other, they were definitely rivals. Just observing.
