"I like what the coaches are doing and everything. I know they have a good recruiting class coming in this fall, so I'll be interested in seeing what they do."

    • Elkton football has fallen off. The coaching was piss poor and a lot of the alumni are not happy that the program has fallen off so much. I think we lost 6 games in 3 years from 98-2000 including a 13-0 state title my senior year. Larry webster brought ray lewis to one of our games that year. Larrys son was a hell of a dt as a freshmen on that team.

I believe that was Larran (sp?) Webster. I knew his younger brother Larry Webster Jr. pretty well. I'm pretty sure Larran was shot and paralyzed a few years back. Sad stuff. Our teams were alright my freshman year, where we lost to Tavon Auston and Dunbar in the state semis, and sophomore year, where we lost to Michael Campanaro and River Hill in the state semis but they've been sooooo bad ever since. Russell left and the coaches there now are, albeit good people, not good coaches at all.

The other problem is that there is a hell of a lot of talent in Elkton in all sports that go and play at private schools, primarily in Delaware, and now that this Eastern Christian Academy has opened up in Elkton, I can't see that helping at all.
